Bring It On The Musical

Southwark Playhouse

23rd July – 3rd August 2018

Music by Lin-Manuel Miranda and Tom Kitt
Lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda and Amanda Green
Book by Jeff Whitty

Bitingly relevant, sprinkled with sass, and inspired by the hit film, Bring It On The Musical takes audiences on a high-flying journey filled with the complexities of friendship, jealousy, betrayal, and forgiveness.Campbell is cheer-royalty at Truman High School and her senior year should prove the most cheertastic – she’s been named captain of the squad! But an unexpected redistricting has forced her to spend her final year of high school at the neighbouring, hard knock Jackson High School. Despite having the deck stacked against her, Campbell befriends the dance crew girls and, along with their headstrong and hardworking leader Danielle, manages to form a powerhouse squad for the ultimate competition – the National Championships.

Uniting some of the freshest and funniest creative minds on Broadway, Bring It On features an original story by Tony Award winner Jeff Whitty (Avenue Q), music and lyrics by Tony Award-winning composer Lin-Manuel Miranda (In The Heights, Hamilton), music by Pulitzer and Tony Award-winning composer Tom Kitt (Next To Normal), lyrics by Broadway lyricist Amanda Green (High Fidelity) and was nominated for the Tony Award for Best Musical.

Auditions

The British Theatre Academy will be auditioning between January-April 2018 in London and surrounding areas to find the most talented young performers aged between 6-26 to take part in our London Summer Season. This year there are three productions as part of our season and performers will have the opportunity of working with our professional West End creative team who previously brought you 13 The Musical and The Secret Garden (both Ambassadors Theatre).

At The British Theatre Academy we believe that everyone should have the opportunity to perform and that talent talks above everything else, therefore our Summer Season is part of our BTA Free Theatre Initiative which means there is no audition fee and no show fee! All we ask is for people who share our passion to perform and have a hunger to learn!

When booking your audition slot this is an audition to be part of our season not a specific show – at recall auditions we will provide more information for which specific shows you are auditioning. All you need to do is register your details below (please only once!) and then you will receive further audition information via email.

So what are you waiting for? Register below and take your first steps into a professional career on stage!
